Your smile is my umbrella on a rainy day.
It is as bright as the sun.
It makes my tears go away.

Your smile is my friend when others are gone.
It becomes my mirrored image.
It becomes a joy that'll never be gone.

Your smile is my shadow on a bright day.
It is as clear as the blue sky.
It follows me all the while.

If only you knew how you make my day,
make me feel like everything is perfect,
everything is great.

If only you could see your smile,
then you wouldn't stay away,
you'd make the pain go away.

You're my friend forever,
when you're here the sun never sets,
when you're gone the sky is hardly blue.
