Crueler Than Cruel

Why are you so selfish in this so called life?
Someone is there to care,
and all you do is stare away,
no where near the one you love.
It's not fair,
it's crueler than cruel,
it's so wrong,
but what do you care?
You'll walk away on what you think is better,
you'll be so mean,
but you'll never say sorry.
This person would never leave you like that,
and you let them down,
so alone,
almost crying on the ground.
It's not right!
Won't anyone show pity?
I guess you weren't right for them.
You never will be,
but you could've been nice.
Spared a heart of letting go of so much blood.
It's not right,
it takes longer than a hug for this wound to heal.
I feel so sorry for that person,
the one who wouldn't dream of putting such pain on a person,
but gets punched in the stomach for no good reason.
It's crueler than cruel,
and it shouldn't have happened.
You'd have to be crazy to live like that.
