Stop Falling to the Ground

Rain falls from your eyes,
it hits the ground,
it blurs the world.
The warmth of sorrow,
burns your door,
scars the frame,
leaves a gaping hole.
You blink to separate the flow,
but it's too late.
Faster and faster they fall,
all around you,
not mercy at all.
What did you do?
Nothing but everything,
you start to say,
so confused,
will it never end?
They continue to fall,
trying to hold on to you,
but are escaping as they always do.
It will end,
maybe not now,
but it'll end,
the rain will cease,
it'll stop,
stop falling to the ground.
